wish u well ! x

As an FYI for when you receive your numbers...I received my nvc and invoice number Tuesday on the phone. That night, I selected the agent. Before I received the welcome letter sent by NVC Wednesday at 11:06pm, I was able to pay the first fee earlier that day.

Best of luck!

Abies,

How long did it take NVC to open your Pay Now button for IV fee? They are telling me it takes 1 week to activate. Is that true? I paid the AOS fee on Wednesday.

We got the invoice for IV fee the next business day after we paid the aos fee and called NVC to review our ds261 over the phone

Called NVC today, got Case Number and Invoice number.

It took 9 weeks.

I am trying to pay the fees -- I feel really dumb asking, but I don't know how to do it. I search the web, the government website says to go to : https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx  , to login to fill out DS 261 (I have a lawyer). I am not taken to any form to choose an agent, I have a screen that shows my information. It says I can click something that say "pay now" but I have nothing that says this. Actually,, nothing is clickable. Not the 'choice of agent' , 'fees', 'iv application', at the top, or at the bottom the 'start application' or 'not paid." I tried different computers, different web browsers. I would ask my lawyer... but I get better advice here. Like, I am sure I am missing something simple, but it is not obvious to me what I need to do to actually make the payments.

Hey .. congratulations.

First of all u need to relax .. you will get your welcome email soon which will guide u on a step by step process on how to do everything. U just got it so may be nothing is active yet.

First thing is u need to fill up ds261

If u have a lawyer chose him as the agent

(If u are pivot case u won't be seeing this. )

Then pay the aos fee which is 120$it will also show up in a while. They must have just entered in the system .. give it some time for ur case to become active.  All the best

Wow.. maybe the backlog is the cause of the delay.

I can't wait to start the new journey with my husband.

Thank you so much.. are you too going to base in California?

NVC will automatically assign your lawyer as your choice of agent(no ds261 for you)

Wait for the welcome letter so you can pay both fees because in your case,aos/iv fee will open up for you to make payment at the same time.

Good luck on this(fastest)part of the journey.
