Yeah - mine's said "Case at NVC" since the beginning. It seems to be a thing with JRS Embassy cases.

My line is still there, so I'm thinking no CC, unless maybe that doesn't work the same way for JRS cases either.

NVC hasn't give me the case number and AOS fee but they asked for my(petitioner) birth certificate, any idea what's happening?

yes, it will change once case reviewed. Mine was same.

finally i got my case and invoice # through email 6 weeks + 2days

4 stages of NVC status:

 

1. Submit Required Docs 

Submit requested docs. If you already have, NVC has yet to review your submitted docs.

 

2. At NVC

Someone at NVC has reviewed your case. Your case may or may not be complete.

 

3. In Transit

Your case is complete and NVC has sent your file to your embassy and you interview is scheduled. 

 

4. Ready

Your embassy/consulate has received your file.

 

There might be another status after ready, but I haven't been to that stage yet.
