@Abies

My ds260 has activated finally.  I have a question.  Do I print the whole thing and send it with my package or just the receipt?  I am confused from the instruction.

It's an online form. Fill and submit it online.

Print out your confirmation page for your visa interview.

Hello All,

NOA1 11/24

NOA2 6/15

NVC received: 6/29

We are currently awaiting an NVC case number. Has Anyone whose case was received on June 29th been assigned a case number yet? Currently just gathering all the documentation necessary.

What kind of notification did you receive to confirm NVC received your case? Do they automatically email you or send something by post? Our NOA2 is 6/28 and I'm not sure if I need to call NVC to confirm they received or if they will notify us. Thanks!

You will have to call NVC to confirm if they received your case.

USCIS will notify you that they sent your case to the NVC ( you can check on the tracking tool) I would suggest calling the NVC number (603-334-0700) and pressing number 5 on the prompt. You give the agent your USCIS receipt number and they can tell if the case has been received and if a case number has been assigned.

Thanks! In the tracking tool, is there a separate notification for sent to NVC vs. I-130 approval? Currently, it shows we were approved. On the I-797, they said they have sent the case to NVC, but there isn't a separate notification to that effect on the tracking tool. When I call NVC, I'll be calling from overseas, so I want to wait to use my minutes until I'm sure USCIS has sent it! :)

AT NVC, it's usually by luck. If at your first call you get that answer, you should try calling again at a later time. Some agents are a lot kinder than the others. And as I've mentioned earlier, I always call 1 hour before they close as they are more accommodating. When I called at exactly my 8th week, it was the agent himself who offered to forward my case to their supervisor and when I called the next day, I got my case and invoice number. Good luck with your case!

Thank you, this put things in perspective. I called again today, and I had a nice person on the phone. He didn't think it looked like anything was done to escalate my case, so he went ahead and did it. So... yeah, the person who I talked to who said "it would eventually be escalated," who i couldn't tell if she was actually doing anything, didn't seem to do anything. Glad I called again.

I am also from Morocco and we are non pivot friend. Fortunately for us this part of the process moved fairly quick so be ready!
