Thank you for reply.

They say that to everyone, but I see here some people have their case's number and invoice number around 3-5 weeks. Hopefully we will have ours soon.

yup some people get case# sooner. I got mine exactly in 6 weeks.

And some people are still waiting after 8 weeks. I called NVC to question them as to whether their process for assigning case numbers was completely random or whether it was in the order in which each case was received, and the rep said she could not release those details but that the process was neither random nor by order of receipt.

So 5 months from  CC to interview! That’s a lot

the key to happiness is low expectations. Unfortunately, it will take minimum 4 to 5 months.

I would say if your stepdaughter is a derviative beneficiary, you will include her here and for her petition, you will just include the photocopy of the original AOS

If he claimed someone last year and they are on his taxes, they are his dependent for immigration purposes.

Answer 1-If you are non pivot then u have to send the documents through mail and if pivot then u have to upload the documents on Ceac site.I think Mexico is non pivot ..you can call NvC to check.

Answer 2- CC is case complete..Once your case is complete u will get the interview letter within a month then Interview. So Cc to interview is around 2months.Now depends on how busy your embassy is.

Is Mumbai Consulate Pivot or Non-Pivot?

For Pivot, both fees are available at the same time.

For Non-Pivot, you pay AOS fee first and a few days later IV fees is available.
