Hi,

Today I decided to read previous NVC filers posts.

I found some people  with a previous J1 visa got a check list for not submitting their DS-2019 and the copy of the J1 visa. 

I had a J1 visa so hopefully I'm going to add it in my NVC package.

No,just submit a copy the way it is

Are you pivot? If yes, they will ask you anyways. I had J1 visa and I uploaded but they never accepted and said it was not relevant to my case (I don’t understand why), but I would upload anyway just in case

Hi everyone I just got off the phone with an nvc agency she said my petition was received in june 11 so not in the system yet call us back in few weeks should I call back in four weeks or two??

And some other information about Brazil in case you don't have it: Brazil is Pivot so you will submit everything online through the CEAC system, and you can prepare now by scanning everything. Also make sure you have both state and federal police certificates because you need two for Brazil. Good luck!

You call them after few weeks but it can take upto 8-9 weeks to get case number from the date they received your file.

It is taking 8 to 10 weeks. I would say call back in a month. Once you are past 8 weeks mark, call everyday.

I'm a non pivot. This information is not in the cover list. Luckily I saw in the posts.

Hi everyone- I'm trying to figure out how much time it takes from delivery of NVC documents and scanning. I've tried searching and have been overwhelmed with the info. My package was delivered maybe 30 mins ago. Does it take weeks for them to scan it into the system?
