This is also my fear. I'm yet to get a case number tho. Completed  6 weeks today. Don't know if I should be happy that my embassy ( lagos) is now pivot.

From what I have read here when a country becomes pivot processing is fast. If you read posts from Russians, you will see a recent Russian got a cc from start to finish at NVC in 3.5 weeks. Russia was previously non pivot.

 

Ofcourse the US administration is very Russian friendly. But since your country has achieved pivot status, perhaps this administration has changed its opinion on Nigeria and now appreciates the country. Who knows? Pray for the best.

I can sympathize completely with you. I am sorry your husband is ill. Your US petitioner can contact the congressman in your state and explain the situation. Supposedly the congressman can expedite immediately if they want to help you.

I dont know but even India turns pivot,it won't affect you because you have already submitted your documents via snail mail(paper work)to NVC

Interesting that many countries are being moved to pivot since they sometimes wait 3 months to schedule interviews 2 months out because the consulate is so busy. Are they adding more interview times too? Or will cc's be received faster but interviews 7 months or more from cc date? Now it can take 5.

Yea i called nvc today and enquired the same thing . She said the site being down or india turning pivot both will have no affect on my case as m done with fee payments ,ds260 as well as sending my package.  Thank god for that. Hoping for a cc next week. Can someone please share the link for case tracker app.
