About the 3 months, a couple from Mexico on this blog posted they received CC in March. Interview notice of scheduled interview in August was sent out at the end of May. Interview date was August and visa was approved. NVC says they must first receive interview appointment dates from the embassy. Then they schedule the interview for the beneficiary. I know you are Gambia, and so hopefully your embassy is not as busy as CDJuarez.

My fear is to have an interview before end of October. I have 2 years home requirement before being free to receive an immigrant visa.

Have you gotten your Interview date?

Not yet hopefully @Abies

I don't want an interview before end of October because of my previous J1 visa.

By the way congratulations !!! I'm so happy for you!

Yes we are and I think they on purpose but does that affect non pivot cases because I though we were doing everything snail mail not online?

I stand corrected - we all have lost 8 days in processing. When CEAC is up again, once people with new numbers start jamming the system all at once, NVC will have yet another backlog of reviewing cases, interview jam ups, etc. Non pivot cases still need CEAC to pay fees and fill out the DS260.

I feel we will have to do that.  The process is so fast when you reach NVC !

Is it written in your cc letter you will get interview date within the 3 months  or you only got your interview letter?
