This is great! I hope the website issues won't affect your case!

Regarding the submission of your documents - if you had any of them in Russian language only did you have to translate those? I saw somewhere on this forum that the Moscow consulate requires translations of all of the documents, but the instructions state that the documents must be either in English or the local language.

Thanks in advance!

I also read that it was not necessary as the documents were in Russian, but we didn't want to take any chances of getting delayed because of it.  So, yes we translated the documents to English, even though they were in Russian (marriage certificate, birth certificate and police records).

Could it be that now Nigeria is pivot

Just got off the phone with the representative..she stated.. that they are upgrading their new system to electronic processing.. I asked her if Lagos Embassy is included she stated yes. I also asked her to check to see when I will be getting my case number since it's 8 weeks +2..she said, she won't be able to see because she is still using the old system. the next time I call back I should used option 5 to get information on my case.

Maybe that's the reason why their system down since last week..

Wow. How about those of us that already got CC via paperwork?

I will call before 12am.

Sorry for the inconveniences NVC might have caused you. It's really really heartbreaking but trust God,it will certainly end in praise

I think you should  be fine. If anything they will send your paperwork electronically and not by mail. You will have that answer when you call them.

Me too.. im really confused.

And how are we even sure this really means that nvc has sent our cases to the local embassy because when i called nvc some 2hrs back, they said they will start scheduling interviews for Nigerians next week.

The schedule interview before the ship it to your country, mine was scheduled ending of May and shipped to Nigeria 1st week of July...so relax it has to be scheduled first, also after its scheduled once it’s been shipped your status will show in transit and once it arrives it will show ready.

Hello.

Im in the process of sending AOS & IV for my sister in law and preparing the packages. Can I hole punch on the top and organize everything in folder fasteners?

I did that when I did my K1 Visa for USCIS and everything was approved and documents accepted.

Im wondering if my sister in law Cr1 case for NVC, if im able to organize her docuents the same way in folder fasteners and hope it wont get rejected by NVC. Any ideas?

If you would if read my post properly, im not inquiring about  K1 Visa!

The title on this thread is for NVC filers! Its not specific to any visa or visa type. I asked about CR filers through NVC. Even so, if I would if asked about K1, it also goes through NVC process just so you know.

But thanks anyways.
