We received our welcome letter an hour ago and paid the aos fee.

It's finally happening..!

We just received our case numbers and fill the DS 261. But we can't pay the fees. Can we start to call NVC to review it online or we have to wait for our welcome letter?

Hey @girlonfire! Embassy Madrid emailed me back confirming that for a CR-1/IR-1, you only need police certificates after twelve months of residence in a country if it’s not your country of residence or your country of nationality. Did you hear the same from Dublin? I think the requirement may be different for K-1 visas from what I’ve been reading in other fora. Anyways, my mind is arbitrary ease not having to get more PCCs than what I have already.

Do you guys have an estimate how long NVC takes once you submit/mail all the documents to approve ?

I submitted my docs online CEAC website 6/18 & 6/29 received an email stating we are "documentarily qualified" & to wait for interview.

hi,

Document cover sheet

I'm confused between IRS tax transcript  & federal income tax return on the Document cover sheet !

i already have all the recent 3 years IRS tax Transcriptions, do i still have to provide Federal income tax return

thank u

You don’t need to provide tax returns if you provided tax transcripts for CR-1/IR-1. If you filed married filing jointly then you also need to submit your W-2 in addition to the tax transcripts. Good luck!

Hi everyone,I'm from pakistan & waiting for the visa  interview as i have sent the required documents to NVC.My question is,late entry has been marked on my Nadra birth certificate .I have heard it's problematic. Embassy requires more supporting documents at the time of interview ?

I got my birth certificate last year just for this petition. So this wont be a problem i think. U can simply explan them at interview. Best of luck

you can call NVC to verify DS261

Have you called NVC to review your ds261 over the phone with you so that your IV fee can be invoiced? I just did and the agent told me to keep an eye on our emails this week for the last fee's invoice.

Hey there, I recieved my letter that my approved case was sent to NVC on may 30th. Waited until June 27th to call the NVC. When i called, they told me that my case was recieved on June 7th and it takes 8 weeks for them to create a case and invoice number. The guy told me to call back within a couple of weeks. At this point, I was a little disappointed because I was hoping that that call would had given me my case and invoice numbers so that I could at least pay the fees. I decided that I was going to give them a call the 3rd week in july assuming that by then my case would be work on. As God could have it, BOOM! Two days later on june 29th while having my lunch at work, I received a email from NVC with my invoice and case numbers. Yesssss! I was so thrilled. I paid both fees on the 1st of july  I'm hoping that they will receive it after the holiday so that I can summit the docs.

I tell you, if u have been waiting for over 2 weeks its better that u call. They might work on ur case right after u hang up that phone.

Good luck everyone❤
