Hopefully thanks

The only link that still functions at CEAC is "Check your IV Application Status"

https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/

CEAC has been down since July 19. The reps at NVC say they can not harvest DS260s for review and ofcourse no new business can be conducted(DS261, Fees, DS260).

Abies, congratulations on your CC, and  regarding interviews, when is the last date for CCs in August for which interviews will be scheduled during the last week of August anf first week of September?

We are Mexico. But if we receive CC in August, will they assign an interview for us now or will we have to wait to be assigned an interview at the end of the next month?

Seems Mexico is presently backlogged.

I will advise you check your country specific.

Right. What I am asking is for people receiving CCs in August, when will they receive notification of an interview assignment? I know the actual interview date depends on the beneficiary's country. Thanks.

When will NVC start scheduling interviews for September?

I called NVC last month and the represntative on the phone told me they schedule interviews at the end of the month. I expect a lot of people to get their interview dates next week.

You receive notification when they actually schedule interview. If your country is backlogged and let's say you get an interview for Oct (hopefully, it is sooner than that), then NVC will schedule your interview some time in September and that's when you will get notification from NVC.

Hi guys, I'm new here. Really need some help with the I-864 affidavit of support. Can both household members income and joint sponsor be submitted? I am living overseas with my husband but my US home address is still with my parents. So I'm not sure if i am still included in the household and can use my parents income and assets. I am unemployed and my parents income doesn't quite meet the poverty guidelines but with assets it will be met. So I don't know if i should just do my I-864 without household members and have a joint sponsor or include household members and no joint sponsor.

One major item of concern to granting your visa is the ability to show financial support. Keep in mind that you can get all the way to the end of the interview and be told you need a new sponsor, hence your visa is denied. If I were you, I would use as many qualified sponsors as you need to in order to show you have proper financial support. They can and will hold you back for lack of financial support. You can read stories telling of this here at visa journey.

Ok good for you, message me ASAP when they tell you, and I'll call :D I'm trying not to spend my every day thinking about it, but.... Here I am haha.

PIVOT = file IV and AOS documents electronically through CEAC

non PIVOT = must mail IV and AOS package to NVC

Hahaha I wish I could stop thinking about it, but every second for the last 18 months has been filled with thought! 😳

I will text you as soon as I have my case number.
