Hello- this is CR1 visa for Mumbai to USA. We got case complete NVC june 28th and we had been anxiously waiting for the interview letter.  This week our case got expedited to Mumbai consulate. Does anyone know what happens when a case is expedited after NVC case complete? Who sets the interview? When i emailed the Mumbai consulate help desk acct they said they dispatched Packet 4 to beneficiary postal address. Does this mean that they sent instructions to register or schedule our interview? Any insight on this is helpful. NVC said that Mumbai consulate would schedule an interview for us soon...it has been a few days now since the case went from NVC to Mumbai.

Hi, no need to call the embassy, every thing will is online and when you will reach the POE , they can see you in their system.

You can, but nobody is going to pick up.

JUST FINISHED TALKING TO AN AGENT(NVC) ON THE PHONE AND AM BEING TOLD I NEED TO MAIL MY BIRTH CERT,POLICE CERT,MARRIAGE CERT,MY BIO PASSPORT PRINT OUT,AND MY CASE IS BEING DELAYED

Yes you are non pivot so you have to mail all of the above like the NVC agent told you.

Wait till you receive packet 4 then you will know your next step. I wish you the best.

Submit copies while you take the originals to the interview.

Thank you but why is it taking long for police to issue the certificate out because they told me they have to send my application to Lagos that i should come back on tuesday to get the certificate,have anyone encounter this before

It takes 3business days to get it outside Alagbon.

Thats how it is if u are collecting it anywhere differrnt from Lagos.I travelled to Lagos to collect mine on July 6.It was processed and collected the same day.I spent 10,500
