Yes, we should not jump to the conclusion that the wife and stepdaughter wanting to leave the US without AP is unreasonable.  There are two sides to every story, but there is only one answer to whether it's reasonable to think that one can leave the US without AP and return to the US.

It seems like the US petitioner in this case fully understand the responsibility that comes from bringing a foreigner who does not speak the language by informing his wife and stepdaughter that they should not leave the US without AP.  It seems that the foreign fiancee does not fully understand the challenges of trying to adjust to a new country by learning the limitations of the K1 and K2 in regards to leaving the US without AP.

Yes, you are 100% correct, leaving the US while AOS pending without approved AP is unreasonable and means AOS is abandoned and will be denied inevitably. You could have said just that and it would be fine. However, you and some other VJ members, for some unclear to me reason, chose to generalize and be quite demeaning towards a large group of people. You ascribe various personality faults to OP's wife because of her ethnicity. In reality, you don't even know for sure that she wants to leave the country without AP.
I happened to have a contact with the aforementioned woman. What her husband posts here is not correct. I am not sure why he does that. Seems quite unreasonable to me, but that's just my opinion. My point is, take the information here with a grain of salt and do not humiliate or be disrespectful to people based on their ethnicity, race, religion, sexual identity, language, culture, etc. Obey the laws, TOS, and the norms of common decency. Good luck.

What exactly TOS did anyone on here break? We are simply giving advice, which is correct. No one tried to humiliate anyone, seems like you may have a personal stake in this since you were so quick to defend and so easily offended by it.

OP,  just search the forum and show her the thread where someone left the country to Mexico before AP. It didn’t turn out too well for them.

Customs and immigration is not joking around with this, she won’t be able to get back in this country. Be sure to have her record her response when the officer in the passport control/immigration booth stops her at the airport.

Well... Russia gave the big surprise today so they may end up making it to the finals. :P Anyways, hope OP can stop by this thread to see if he was able to convince his wife not to travel abroad without the AP in hand.

I appreciate all the helpful suggestions. I think she may have been talked out of leaving by a Russian doctor friend here in the U.S . Complicating matters is the fact that my wife has severe depression/bipolar disorder(with no medications or therapy which she refuses ), and my stepdaughter was recently diagnosed with severe Crohns disease after spending 21 days in intensive care and almost dying due to complications from her disease. So its clearly a horrible idea for them to leave, even though I know their intentions are good to visit her mother and sell real estate to leave extra money to their family in Russia. Without the advance parole it's essentially impossible to even return for over a year. Sometimes I think they just want to leave for good and sometimes not, its hard to say because people with Bipolar disorder can go through tons of emotions and contrasting decisions within the same hour.  I was told by numerous doctors that her life would be in danger back in Russia, where she was misdiagnosed and given no treatment for her symptoms. Hopefully they will chill out and bide their time , but *shrug*.

I have often wondered if your wife and Daughter were adjusting to life in the US.  I remember, vividly, your prior threads describing the issues your were facing.  I sincerely hope your wife will seek treatment for her depression and Bipolar disorder.  Those can be debilitating. Best wishes.....
