Hello,

when I first filled the DS 260 for my husband I made a couple of mistakes. So we waited till the interview to tell the counselor to correct them and he said ok, but whenever I go on check on our Nvc invoice application the mistakes are still there...?! I emailed the embassy . They said ok .but the mistakes have never changed 🤔 is it normal or should I be worried?

You will never see them fixed online but I'm pretty sure your corrections have gone into the file.  Depending on the corrections of may or may not affect the Visa.  In all honesty there should be no corrections to make so why did they need to be corrected?

Depends on where the error occurred.  The officer can only change the bio-data that is printed on the visa, to ensure it is correct.  And, when they do that, they must make a note in the computer system that explains why they changed it. After all, this is a form that you submitted under penalty of perjury.  For anybody else to be able to change it would make that clause unenforceable.  You will never be able to see any changes to the DS 260, as they cannot change it. At most, they will have make notes in the system that covers what you said should be corrected.

Must we fill yes in the form?

As SSN is needed for almost everything, I see no reason to say NO on the form. I filled YES on mine. After my wife gets here, I will get SS office a week to send us a card. If they don't, I will just go to my local office and get the SS card from them directly.

After only one week, you'll probably waste a trip.  It usually takes two weeks to get into the system, then another week to get the card after you request it.  Properly filed DS260 forms result in an automatically generated card the vast majority of time but not all.

Yep. My husband got his SS card in about two weeks after his approved interview and his GC, 3 weeks and 3 days.

Entering the US is what triggers both to be produced, not a visa approval.
