Also, check with your local USCIS office and see if she received her green card. If she did, I think you may need to start looking into her whereabouts. If she left with her son AFTER receiving her green card - and has been gone for four months - maybe you should change tactics. Again, hope this isn't the case, but it sure sounds odd.

It's a card. You don't get it at the airport. You get it in the mail, about 4-6 months after filing I-131.

Advance Parole is a card. If she has only gotten a paper, it would only be here Notification of action, meaning USCIS has received her application and is processing it but has not yet given her a card. If she left with only her NOA1 then she has abandoned her AOS.

Sorry to ask again but do you have a picture? Not the picture of the EAD which serves as I-512 advance parole. I know that's the combo card. When I Google that's all I find. Or a paper with a picture.

I'm confused, picture of what? The NOA1, the card or the paper version?

What made you think that your wife got her EAD and AP back in January as indicated in your timeline?

^^^^This. Why is that on your timeline that you got EAD & AP in the mail on 9 January 2018? Is it possible that you did receive it just forgot about it since?

@Mike122413 Any news on your wife? Along with the I-131 there should have also been an approval notice. Do you still have that letter at home?

Your timeline shows that your wife received EAD and AP on Jan. 9, 2018.  What did she get notifying her that EAD and AP were approved?

So, are you verifying that she had not received approved Advance Parole when she left the US?

Okay so at least they have it. Try to get an airline to call the CBP hotline and get them to the US. Send them a copy of the letter saying they were approved for the card.

Thank You everyone trying to help me with matter!

It is hard talking back and forth to my wife in china with limited English. I talk to her with text, video apps.

She is in China , we did video when she was in hospital with her Moms opperation.

She is still saying CR1 because a woman was turned back from Los Angeles custom and had to fly back to China again.

She just wants to get back here too

I understand her hesitation, it is a long flight. But if she is concerned about money, she shouldn't worry as her return to China would be on the airline. That's why the hardest part of this is to convince the airline to get her son on a plane. When in the US hopefully CBP will accept the copy of the notice of approved EAD/AP card (if you have a copy of the card itself, that would be great too) and his case numbers. It's not a guarantee that they will let him in, only USC's are guaranteed. But it is his best shot to prevent doing the CR1 all over again.

Someone from the airline has to contact the liaison for CBP.  Ask your wife to go to the airport HOURS early and print page 5 here (or full guide): https://www.cbp.gov/sites/default/files/assets/documents/2017-Nov/carrier-information-guide-english.pdf

Do you have a copy of her documents?

Otherwise, Chinese citizens can travel visa free to the Northern Marianna Islands - she can meet CBP there... my mistake, no CBP there so not sure it would help her.  Best to have the airline call the Liaison as described in first paragraph.
