While I will always support civility, we have probably the least civil sitting President ever. It was the primary reason I couldn't vote for him. So I can see how it is hard for other people to act appropriately.

I have no problem with leftists protesting politicians they disagree with. I also have no problem with them refusing service at resturaunts to people they disagree with (Just like I have no problem with a cake maker refusing to make a cake that conflicts with his religous beliefs). In fact I would encourage leftist resturaunt owners to post signs notifying Trump supporters that they aren't welcome so we know which resturaunts to avoid. What I do have a problem with is leftist groups (or any group) putting out personal information of law enforcement officials and calling for violence against them. I also have a problem with a Congress member calling on her constituents to carry out acts of violence. I also have a problem with leftist "celebrities" calling for the assassination of the president or the sexual assault of his children. No matter how civil or uncivil you think the president is this type of behavior is unacceptable.

But its Trumps fault lol. Always the lowest common denominator,  when the MDL just cant bring itself to condemn vile actions of its own

No one is saying it's Trump's fault. The President just sets the tone of discourse, and in the current climate the tone is pretty darn negative. Everyone jumps on the bandwagon then.

I agree with the things you have a problem with.

While I don't particularly like what's her face ,(congresswoman who called for people to act up), I wouldn't exact say she was calling directly for violence. I believe she said things like "get in their face" etc...which is disruptive but not necessarily violence.

I don't remember who actual quote though so I could be wrong.

As for the other examples (the actor who threatened on Twitter, and the law enforcement members personal info). Yes I'm totally with you. That isn't civility to me, that is criminality. Civility is about throwing insults and such, in my view.

You get in my face in such a manner it draws a crowd its going to end in violence

“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up,” she said at a rallyin Los Angeles on Saturday. “And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”

Just because your response would be violence, doesn't mean she is asking her supporters to be violent. Seems like you're the violent one there.

I'd put her comment in the "uncivil" category for sure, but I don't see it directly condoning and or asking for violence. The closest she gets to it is "push back" but that is a commonly used phrase that doesn't necessarily mean physically "push". People can push back on ideas etc...

I didn't say that. I merely read what you quoted and questioned where she was, either certainty, calling for violence.

As I said the closest she came was with the phrase "push back", but that is commonly used in a way that doesn't imply physical pushing.

The only actual violence mentioned in your post was your own statement about what YOU would do in the situation. Perhaps this says more about you than anything else?

If you cant connect the dots , you are in a very small minority.  Several prominent members of her own party called her out. If only I had some large amounts of meaningless data you could understand.

As for what it says about me, if you without provocation threaten me or my family , your going to get hurt.  Maybe you would sit idly by while someone threatens your family. That says a few things about you.

I agree this resist ####### is really starting to get on my nerves. Especially when they start calling for people to start harassing other people in businesses or their private life.

I already said I would consider what she said to be not civil.

But that doesn't mean it's a call to violence. She called for protesting. Of the two of you, you are still the only one still repeatedly threatening violence.

If she were a Republican, it would definitely have been a call for violence.

And she would have been hounded out of office within 24 hours of having made that statement.
