As for what it says about me, if you without provocation threaten me or my family , your going to get hurt.  Maybe you would sit idly by while someone threatens your family. That says a few things about you.

Agreed. If someone physically assaults me while I'm walking down the street because I have a MAGA hat on (this actually has happened to people) I am not a violent person but I'm going to defend myself and my family if their with me. Back during the election I had a Trump bumper sticker on my car and I was driving down the highway and nearly had another car run me off the road while all the occupants of the car were flipping me off. There are some dangerously unhinged people out there.

If someone physically assaults you first, sure go ahead and defend yourself.

 

Walters wasn't calling for people to physically assaults anyone. She was calling for disruptive  protesting. Even if you take "push back" literally and think she is referring to actually pushing...it would be in retaliation (hence the word "back").

This isn't an "eye for an eye". This isn't "protecting yourself from violence".

 

"Drawing a crowd" is not violence. So it shouldn't be met with violence. That says a lot more about the person ACTUALLY threatening violence here.

@bcking I agree that the word "push back" doesn't mean violence. But sadly there's a whole bunch of unhinged people who do not understand that and will actually be violent. So we'll see what will happen.

Not saying any call for violence is okay,  I don't agree with what she did, I don't even like the woman.

But how is it any different to what Trump does all the time?

Each side only complains when it's convenient/against the other party.

I haven't yet seen someone actually being impartial about this, I guess I'll keep waiting.

No doubt one of the usual suspects will be along to tell us how it was different when Trump said it and that he really didn’t mean it. Or he didn’t mean it that way. Or some other excuse to defend their man of choice. I think a few live vicariously through him.
