Hi everyone!

I've posted a few times, but have visited this site daily ever since the "Immigration Lawyer" we hired started screwing up.....and wanted to thank all the members for allowing me the opportunity to FIRE HIM!!!!!

My fiancee' (Canadian) hired him because he drives for a living, crossing the border daily, and didn't want to take the chance of messing that up.....long story short, not only were we assigned to an "Immigration Consultant" who didn't even know what an NOA was when they rec'd NOA1 (when I asked her if she rec'd the NOA1 yet, she said "no, but we did receive a Receipt Notice, which is not a Notice of Approval....insinuating I was stupid...SO, I asked her to fax me a copy, and right there at the top in bold: Notice of Action...of course I had to call her out on it), it took them a MONTH to just get the application completed and sent in, not to mention I wouldn't have even known about the NOA1 unless I called!

After spending a few weeks on VJ, I caught onto the process real quick and found myself not only correcting their mistakes, but actually moving ahead of them and preparing our own paperwork and docs....stupid....so, to quote Donald...."You're FIRED"

NOA1 and NOA2 are not official or legal terms. In fact, the approval notice could even be the 3rd or 4th Notice of Action received, but noone calls those NOA3 or NOA4.

Understood...had that been the only issue, it may have had a different outcome......there were many, many more and for $2200 USD, far too many!

Mel had a consult with an Immigration Lawyer a while back. This guy was supposed to one of the "best" (according to who, I don't know)

It was a waste of time and money on Mels part. He had to pay for the Consult. This guy was useless.
