Some questions about DS-230

Did you fill out all the traveling to the US stuff? I was wondering if we need to (as Canadians) as it mentions visa numbers and stuff - which I didn't have when just traveling...

Also - what did you put for "what occupation you intend to work in the US"?.... How does what you put impact your approval? Does it?

I filled out the travelling stuff, just didn't put anything in the area about visas, because I hadn't needed any.

I don't remember about the occupation question. I think I had only put, that I would seek employment with/after DHS authorization. If it mattered, I wouldn't be here!

For the travel to the US I put something like " various trips including day trips, weekend trips for shopping and visiting as well as vacations of 2 weeks and that I have never been present in the US for longer than 3 weeks at a time."

I was told to put "Frequent Visits of no more than X days duration"

I left the occupation question blank and did put in the dates I was previously in the US

I followed the example 230 form supplied here on VJ found above under the heading example forms

I have a question as well...my dear hubby signed and dated the DS-230 before he sent it to me. Though I told him to just sign it and send it to me, I guess he doesn't do so well when instructions aren't in writing. Anyhow. Does anyone think it's a problem that by the time I actually have to send it in, it would be backdated? Or should I have him try again? Thanks!!
