Hi,

I received a notice that an interview is being scheduled

I got divorced and when USICS sent me RFE asking for divorce decree and asking if I would like to amend to divorce waiver, I sent the divorce decree but my lawyer advised not to sign the amendment as at the time I sent the joint petition we were still married.

what a MISTAKE, im pretty sure if I would have signed the amendment I wouldn't have been called for an interview.

Now Im gonna have to go to an interview and Im not in good terms with my ex-husband. Im planning to go by myself and ask to be switched for divorce waiver and give them again my divorce decree.

Could you please share your experience? How was your interview? what did they ask for? Did you bring other documentation apart from the divorce decree? Did they approve you and if so how long did it take to appear in the system?

Thank you in advance
