how can one stay in Texas with Tourist Visa?

why marry where none of you have residency?

someone pointed destination wedding but this is not a destination wedding at all. https://www.huffingtonpost.com/destination-weddings-honeymoons/10-reasons-to-have-a-dest_b_2296278.html

I guess one could stay until caught and deported.  But, in Texas, to get a driver's license, one has to prove both Texas residency and lawful presence in the US.....I see no way both spouses could reside in Texas illegally and function normally.

OP-  If that is your plan, it is poorly devised, and it will result in you and your spouse being deported to your own countries......

i love texas just to visit but i cant live in Texas. I was sent to DFW office for few days to train few folks but dammm i was so happy to leave DFW

I think SPouse (UK / PHIL dual citizen) would return back to UK. From normal people's understand, the person in Texassss with B1/B2 would be a big fool to be living or even try living without status. Also, current situation is not favorable for people out of status

Exactly what does "staying in Texas with tourist visa" mean?

Could it be just incorrect phrasing?  I've seen posts where that terminology has been used to refer to staying with so and so when visiting the US

But overall, odd to have a Texas wedding where neither party is a resident.

OP has been online in the past couple of hours but hasn't responded.

If both are from the Phils, why marry in Texas?  Is Texas considered a luxury wedding /honeymoon destination?

He is "just" visiting TX, not living there so why can not he do it in the UK or his home country? Me thinks.

It would make somewhat more sense if they would want to marry in Vegas or Hawaii.. :D Texas is hardly known as a wedding destination.

Of course Texas is not a top wedding destination. I was being sarcastic. :P  No offend to anybody from there but there are other more "exciting" places. Las Vegas, Florida, Hawaii, etc. Hope OP does not think that marrying there will bring him a GC or any other benefit.

Guess we may never know. Doesn’t seem as though he wants any more advice!  :D

Maybe because marriage in PH is such a hassle?

Marriage license in Texas is issued on the same day though waiting period may take a couple of days. When my husband and I applied for our marriage license at Nueces county, we just presented IDs and the lady in-charge asked if we were married previously.  We responded 'No'. No other questions. No justifications. No other paper works.

Marriage license in PH has a lot more paper work. Don't forget your CENOMAR! It may also ask for Parents advice if age is below 25.

A divorcee has an extra set of paperwork.

As a Filipino myself, I won't want to marry in PH. Simply putting all paper works in place will take a lot of time.

But OP hasn't stated that to be the reason for a TX wedding. He's been MIA..
