Just ask her if weddings are more important than her green card or future baby? I'm sure she will make a good decision for herself.

Why not think about the child in all this?  What is best for the child?  For one, I would say being a US citizen is one good thing. Two, mom needs to get home and prepare for the birth of the child and stay as healthy as possible. Are weddings more important than the health of her child?  Life goes on and the weddings will happen without her there. Concentrate on being in the US if that is where she and her husband want to live and raise their family. She can always travel after the birth of the baby.

Make 100% sense to me as well.

Why doesn't she apply for a reentry permit and then return to Pakistan for the birth as soon as it's approved?

lets see what she will decide after getting all these valuable inputs.

thank you everyone.

Fathers are the natural guardians in Pakistan, not mothers. Not to sound crazy, but bringing the child to the US might be harder than she thinks.

Also, the green card for the spouse might take a bit longer due to background checks, so thinking he will get the green card 2 years after application might not be feasible. So it would be better to have the baby in the US and then see what happens when his case reaches the consulate. If she doesn't have health insurance, then it means she is not working and she will need a financial cosponsor for the application once it reaches the consulate. Also, her domicile has to be in the US and there has to be no question about it. So her plans could jeopardize his green card application, in addition to hers.

Yes she really want to live in US. she went there for less than 6 months and planning to go there again in November End for 4 weeks because of some weddings.

and yes i doubt as well that no airline will let her do that.

She already went for like 6 months and then she will be there again for another month this same year.? And pregnant!? I would be very careful in doing this and I would say she better stays in the US and prepare for the baby. ALL this Up and Down planes can take a toll on the mother and baby, PLUS stress for not knowing if they let you in at US Port Of Entry, etc. remember they can always deny you entry, GC in hand or not.

Let me tell you that me having the AP (while doing AOS in 2012) I decided to visit my family for 2 months and on my return they gave me ####### at POE. Dealing for like 2 hours with the immigration officer (at secondary room) asking me all tons of questions on why I needed to be in my home country for 2 months. While the reason of my visit was to help my mom who was having some health problems. They still gave me trouble. Funny thing on my  USCIS  InfoPass visit (previous my trip) I discussed this with the officer to make sure the 2 month length would not be a cause of problem on my return and they said not likely.

I know your sister is LPR and not traveling on AP like I did but she is already taking too much time outside (in my book) and all of this while being pregnant. She will be pushing the limits and all this for weddings? Remember that a Greencard is not a luxury tourist visa.
