Sort of like Chuckie setting the 51 vote rule now?  Personally, I am fine with Congress not doing anything ever.  The Federal government is large enough as it is, but I know when the Dems regain Congress, and they will at some point, they will definitely not abide by that standard.

  The 51 vote rule came back to bite the Democrats. Changing the supreme court justice vote to 51 will come back to bite the Republicans at some point too. The senate was not ever intended to be a simple majority rubber stamp. The intent, going all the way back to the beginning, was they would actually work together and try to incorporate some of the minority when needed. 

 

   In the long run, this is going to lead to more extreme/partisan judges on both sides, not really a good thing IMO.

I am all for repealing the 17th Amendment.  Other than 18, this one was the worst.

   The sooner Democrats figure out it's time to look at the big picture, the better it will be for them. They have no say in this appointment. The best they can do is make sure they are in a better position for the next one, and spinning their wheels on the Kennedy retirement is not going to help.

I just watch a prominent pollster say that 84% of the respondents are in favor of illegal immigrants being reported to ICE...........says a lot about how out of touch these sanctuary cities are.
