My fiances interview is scheduled on July 10th with her medical the week before. I'm wondering how long typically the Visa takes to process and her to receive? She lives in Sao Paulo and we were hoping to book her flight for the night of July 25th  but I'm hesitant due to the possibility of the passport taking longer than 2 weeks and one day to ship. any advice is appreciated

Thanks

The estimate to receive the visa in hand is always hard to tell anywhere. What if they want another document? That could add 2-3 weeks, what about getting stuck in AP possibly? Always many variables. Simplest advice, never buy anything until visa is in hand. Only then should you ever purchase tickets, make official plans, ect. If you do book the flight, ensure you can change it/cancel it without penalty or extra fees. Otherwise, just wait as hard as that is.

Yes, never buy any flight ticket unless you can re-schedule it. This could take 2 weeks or 1 month or more. What if passport get lost? You never know. Never set anything on stone.
