Printing evidence on both sides of paper

Hi everyone!

We're submitting our I-751 form soon and I have a weird question: can we copy/print evidence (like bank statements) on both sides of paper?

With statements and utility bills printed on both sides our submission is about 1.5 inch and my concern is if their scanners can scan double sided pages?

Did anyone print on both sides?

Thank is advance!

I am in the process of working on the I-751 as well.  The way I am approaching it is anything more meaningful like the actual I-751, Copies of Identification, etc are all single sided printed. Anything with tons of pages like bank statements, tax return docs, photo proofs, etc, I am printing double sided.

When I did the Adjustment of status and K1, I did it in this way as well.  The quality of the documents you provide speaks more than the quantity.  I don't actually think they scan anything.  From my general observation from our Adjustment of status, they simply take all the pages they need out and add it the primary folder that's under file.

Thank you! We only printed bank statements and utility bills on both sides, tax returns are single sided. With pictures we just put original printed photos with tape on white pages and wrote short descriptions with a Sharpie.

While it might be preferable to print single-sided, if volume of paper is your concern, plenty of ROC packages are reams of paper. This is a link to our package pictures. At the end of the day, quality matters more than quantity, and the package volume is your call. I look at it this way.. why make it harder for the reviewing officer.. to look front and back?

For pictures, we transferred them from our phones onto a pc, and copied about two to a page on a Word doc, in color, with a short description.

Thanks for your reply! I thought about transferring photos to Word and printing in color but we already have them printed by FreePrints in a good quality, so I guess it's fine.

I'm looking for the instruction I read from USCIS where it states that they do not advice that you print double sided. I will post it if I find it. I didn't print double-sided in all the paperworks I submitted to them.

Hi, how do you guys separate out the documents? For example, Exhibit 1: Bank Statement,  should I put the bank statements for each month altogether with or without a paper clip?

I want to just use separate big paper clips for each type of evidence and instead of exhibit A, B, C etc. just do tabs with short description of what type of evidence it is and put on top of each part of submission.

For example:

1) Tax Transcripts and Tax Returns 2015 - 2017

2) Statements from joint Chase Bank account 2016-2018

3) Statements from joint Citi Bank account for 2017-2018, checks and deposits to/from this account

4) Electricity utility bills showing both our names 2016-2018

5) Cable utility bills showing both our names 2016-2018

6) Lease agreements showing us both as tenants 2016-2019

7) Various pictures of us together 2015-2018

Something like that... I saw beautifully organised submissions on VJ, where people use ACCO fasterners but it seems too complicated, need to also get a hole puncher and punch all these holes...

So I guess the main point is to submit everything organized and easy to access for an officer

Oh, really? I also have a feeling that I read it somewhere... We'll do single side copies then just to be safe, thank you!

It was a USCIS article. It's easier for them to "scan" one-sided, assuming they didn't have the technology to scan double-sided documents.

It's easier because you dont have to play with settings on the photocopier. And if anything isnt thr standard papersize they're having to use the glass to scan it which makes it even more annoying.  I scan a lot of things. >> << >>
