hello guys,

my i-765 renewal status has changed to 

“fingerprints review was completed” does that mean i’m getting it soon or it has nothing to do with this?

It just means that the fingerprints process is complete. Now the waiting begins. Hopefully you get good news soon.

that what i thought too. its the first time getting an update like this in my 4 previous work permits, thats why i was wondering.

Are you in the process of Adjusting Status for greencard or just renewing your work permit? Well at least you know they finished reviewing your background check and that's good news.

iam adjusting status through marriage and my case was pending due background check. do you thing that update will affect my i485 status? are they related? the status update said “review” not background check completed!

When they do your fingerprints is for the purpose of conducting FBI background check so yes they are related to your AOS  including your EAD (and AP if you applied for it). They can not approve nothing or interview you if background check is not cleared.

Remember that AOS i485 (greencard) is taking long times now. From 12 months and up. While AP-EAD is taking between 3 to 6 months.
