Hello everyone, so my interview was last Friday and everything went well, I got approved but my passport was in bad shape so they said I had to get a new one and send it to them. Now I’m in the process of getting a renewed passport. They gave me a green form after the interview along with my damaged passport but on the form it says they will email me within 48hours with instructions on how to send my new passport to the embassy. I have not received this email so am now unsure which steps to take to send my new passport. Anyone have experience with this? Any help greatly appreciated.

thanks

Even if you had their instructions now, there is nothing you can do until you receive your new passport. You can either allow them more time or you can email them now for instructions.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

From the visa FAQ page of the embassy website https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visa-faqs/courier/

For security reasons, all documents should be submitted via the approved courier service.  If you have been asked to submit your passport or any additional documents, you should log on to your account via https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb and print off a Courier-in Receipt.
