So the visa is under review at the consulate. The paper states that he will not receive an answer not less than ten days after documents received. We turned the documents in yesterday. They still have his passport. The website states that it will take 60-120 days to receive an answer under 221G. He is worried that he needs to go back to Moscow where he has been staying. When do they give you documents back? Or at what point would they give his passport back?

did you talk to your fiance about what happened in the interview? this sounds a little odd. my experience and from what i could read on VJ most people dont get much problems if the documentation was complete and proof of relationship was good enough for the CO

it’s a complicated situation so back in 2016 I thought I as officially divorced from my ex and we married in Ukraine but the divorce was granted literally one day after the marriage certificate. I consulted with lawyers and by US law the marriage is null and void hence why we did the fiancé visa but by Ukrainian law the marriage is valid so he will submit the marriage certificate but the consular officer apparently felt really terrible and was very supportive and understanding. He will be under review for 10 days which I hope won’t take that long. I was living in Ukraine at the time and pregnant and in order to stay I needed to be married. It’s complicated

well, that is a special circumstance...if you where given the right answer by the lawyer....you should be ok. Sorry, don't have much of an answer to your 221G question. When it goes on administrative processing, there is really no telling what and when.
