November? You have plenty of time...it's too early to even file for a renewal. It's certainly not "urgent".

 

A properly filed renewal application will automatically extend the validity of the EAD by 180 days. I believe filing within 120 days is allowed.

You can file from 180 days before expiry.

It was 120 days until 2017 apparently (and remains at 120 days for certain categories).

Yeah, looks like it's a recent change. I guess they are preparing for or have adjusted for longer wait times. Would have been better if they actually processed applications faster!
