Your credit union sounds like SunTrust banks here ... still trying to wrap their heads around the concept of a wheel.

I have most all my banking at USAA now, no ATM feels ... global.   And I can do anything I want with them online, and even sh!t I haven't had a need for.       I have never had an issue with them

My father was a WWII Torpedoman.  I tried signing up but they need his SSN.  He passed away in 2009 and I have no idea how to find his SSN.

I use REMITLY to direct deposit into our accounts,   USD and PHP

Through Remitly?  That is completely new to me.  I will do some research on that.  I only use Remitely now so if that makes it easier for her I'm all for it.  I thought direct deposits would be considered a wire transfer (with higher fees) through Remitly.

Contact SSA ... they should be able to help you .. once you provide proof of relationship.

Most banks are just fine.  I had Chase when in Tucson, never issues with them either.  Would still be using them if they had a presence in Tennessee.

Yes.   Easy Peasy to do.    If you have questions on how to set it up, use the CHAT on Remitly .. their call center is in Makati  ;)

USAA is really good for insurance purposes and loans. I don't use them for banking for personal reasons but Hank says they are good in that regard.

I am wondering how Remitly and Western Union differ when doing bank to bank transfer! I never did any but I can see the option on WU online.

Remitly is cheaper and the direct deposit looks like it is only $3.99, the same as cash pickup.  Western Union is $4.99 for cash pickup and $4.00 for direct deposit but their rate is not as good.  Right now Remitly is 51.96 php per dollar compared to 51.30 for Western Union.  That is an extra 660 pesos plus a dollar cheaper for a Remitly cash pickup.

Hire a Private Investigator they should be able to find it. You can do it online.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

Only $3.99 if you do the instant delivery, if you do the 3 day delivery it is $0.00   ... doesn't matter if it is pick-up or direct deposit.

Pretty simple using the SSN Death Index.

Go to: https://search.ancestry.com/search/db.aspx?dbid=3693

Type in name and what info you can.  I found my dad using name, birth year, and year of death.  Hover the mouse over "View Record," and it should tell you the SSN#.  Clicking the link will want you to join Ancestry.  You can avoid that.

Finally done.
