Supreme Court upholds Trump travel ban on some Muslim-majority nations

The administration was the one questioning it. That was in fact one of their court talking points. That the administration's actions cannot be reviewed by the judicial branch. Quite a crazy notion. I do think that had it been the first or second version of the ban (remember we're on version three) the court may not have ruled the same way. But the whole reason we're on version three, is due to judicial review.. which is a good thing.

Of the 7 countries on this current version of the ban, 2 are not Muslim countries and a 3rd is still caught up in an ongoing civil war. If they would have come out with something like this in the first place instead of a ban centered around the rhetoric aimed at Islamic nations,  the Trump administration would likely not have experienced the level of resistance they did.

Although I agree with your premise, I don't think the resistance would have been any less.  Hatred is a strong motivator.

Exactly.  It is well within the authority of the POTUS to protect our country.

In the overall context of what you posted, it's really 50:50 whether you misspelled "whining" there or not.

He didn't.....lol

Perhaps the next two won't involve essentially stealing the appointment by delaying for an unprecedented amount of time with no real logical reasoning behind the delay, other than a desire to manipulate the appointment process.

I disagree.  There is nothing that this legally elected president can do that will be be seen as correct by the vile, hypocritical extremists on the left.  Their hate for Trump is so blinding that NOTHING else matters if he is in any way involved. That hatred is damaging our entire country.  I use Maxine Waters as proof.

I'm too busy to watch the pundits screams on the news today... got biometrics tomorrow and then packing for our vacation. And I'm a little burnt out.. hubby came home from work yesterday despondent. One of his coworkers is quite a bigot (and also believes all gun owners feeling the same way will rise up and kill any americans that don't agree with his ideas...). It was awkward, just plain wrong for this person to start rambling on like that almost as if they were looking for a fight. He's made horrible comments about LGBT and immigrants to coworkers on off-campus settings before. This was basically making comments right to my husband's face on-campus, and being an immigrant himself it's hard for him to process without feeling utterly sad. The dude is one of those types that would not be a surprise that if fired one day they come back in and pop some off.

I was as well when I first commented to you about this. I was in on a 2 hour long conference call w/ online PP presentation, oh what fun.

There is a couple I would add.

I thought N Korea was on it?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Trump is as guilty as anyone of spreading that hate filled rhetoric around. Wallow in muck like a swine, and unfortunately you will get dirty. Such is life, and I'm pretty sure Trump knows that. That's the game he plays, and he's well suited to it. I think he took the fight where he wanted it to go and he is in his element right now. He played his allies and his opponents alike.

As much as Trump dishes it out, he will also have to take it. He may well ride this winning streak out till the end of his term, but I'm sure he knows when it ends, it's going to be a dog pile. For the most part, it will be well deserved.
