Removing conditions on green card- how can I check my status?

My green card expired in September 2017 and I got my extension letter in October 2017. I can't find the extension letter at the moment but I want to check if there's any info on how far along in the removal-of-conditions process I am. As I dont have the letter, I dont have the reference number to use to check my progress in the process (which is what the Homeland Security immigration website asks for). I do have my Alien registration number. Is there any way to check my status/progress? Obviously I need to get my new green card before October 2018! Thanks!
