Hello all,

Just wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else on here. My i29f application was received on November 20, 2017. I received an RFE letter on July 12th, 2018 requesting new passport style photos of myself (the petitioner) and my fiancé. Apparently the original photos I sent with my i-29f package did not match exactly to the guidelines. As we are both in Spain now, we quickly went the next day to take new photos, paying special attention to all of the specific measurements required, and mailed them out last week. Online my case status has not changed, it still states that my case was received. Is this likely to slow down the process by a lot?

Thanks!

Alyssa

If you responded immediately to the RFE and fulfilled the requested information, then it shouldn't slow down the process too much.  We received our one and only RFE during the I129F step and responded within a few days and I never noticed a long delay.

Good Luck!

Is not even July yet.

It shouldn't delay, it will all depend how soon you responded with what they were asking for.  Your case will pick up where it left off as soon as they receive the photos.

We received an RFE and the whole process of sending back the information requested with their approving time frame I would say put us back a month from what we could have been. Once they received our information, it took them 3 weeks to adjust the status to approve from RFE Information Received, but from the moment we mailed the information back to the moment they updated the status to "received" was very quick, only a few days. We mailed it from WI though.
