This site has been very helpful, me and my fiancee is about to finalize our application but some questions have been floating on me.

1. I always see about passport stamps. When i went to the US, I didn't get any stamps on my passport but i have a copy of my I-94 that i printed from their website, will that be enough?

2. I went to the US twice already, the first one was way back in 2008 and me and my fiancee doesn't know each other yet. Second one was in 2017 when i visited her. On my I-94, it only shows my trip i made in 2017. Is this going to be a problem? Both trip was legal with a tourist visa and I didn't overstayed.

3. Is it necessary to have plans for the wedding already? I've read that the CO ask questions about wedding plans and we don't have plans yet, we're still choosing if we're going the civil wedding route or a chapel wedding.

4. I plan to move out on my current location sometime on the next 3-5 months, can we change my address after/during the application was filed? I'm the beneficiary.

5. My fiancee and her ex-husband is still living on the same roof for their child, because they have verbally agreed about co-parenting and since the ex-husband is unemployed for 3years after their divorce, this is her way to at least help him to ease his financial situation. They both have their separate lives tho, her ex-husband already have a girlfriend also. And have agreed that before I fly there, she will find a place for us. They have their legal documents about custody. Is this going to be a problem on our application?

I know our case is strong because we've been dating since 2012, we've been together a lot of times. We're the same of ethnicity and she's way above the poverty line about the support. But I still can't ease up and I still want all areas covered.

Thanks a lot!

1 & 2. its fine. if you have boarding passes and other proof of being there, include it.

3. no, lots of people dont know or haveEXACT plans, as long as its within 90 days its not a problem

4. i dont think they mail the beneficiary anything until visa approval but i do believe you can update it online or at the interview. or use a friend of family member you trust for a mailing address

5. this wold concern me more than anything on a personal level, not uscis level. why are you having to find a new place to live and not the lazy ex husband? time for him to move out and get a job. plenty of people co parent and dont live together. just my pinion, but that would be a MAJOR issue for me and likely a deal breaker. youre getting married to her. he needs to go! or she does. but they shouldnt be living under the same roof. and i dont think the govt will like you not living with your spouse while her ex DOES..... just my 2 cents, not sure on the official take on it

ok i think i misunderstood, but its definitely time for her to move out and id do it before k1. ex needs to man up and take care of his own business.

Does the uscis do background check personally? Like they'll visit the house of the petitioner to check about their living conditions? I've met with the ex-husband during my visit to my fiancee and we've been friends since then. He does have a job now but it's still not enough to have his own place to rent or own. And for their child's sake. So I agreed to allow him to stay at her place for the meantime until before my US embassy interview. But we have made it clear that she'll find another place for our own without the ex-husband when it is time.

they do not do home inspections or anything during the petition process. they can during later processes (ROC maybe) but its not common, as far as i know.
