we have very similar timelines. We filed o feb 21st. He is currently in Maracaibo, and it is not the best living conditions We are hoping to enter through Aruba in december after a family vacation, but who knows at this point? we filed for an expedite back in may which still has not been decided and has been a disaster to follow up on but here is to hoping! Is there a VZ consulate in mexico that can handle your passport issues or do you have to go back to VZ? Where do you plan to interview? Good luck to you guys!

We filled an expedite request too and it was denied after a 10 days so we're back on regular waiting... There's a venezuelan consulate in Mexico city like 3 hours away from where I live, but apart to travel there, I'll have to spend a lot of money because my mexican residency card has to be renewed on november (I need a valid passport for that too) and I can't attend to the interview for K1 in Ciudad Juarez (another travel budget to set) without my mexican residency card.... Timing hasn't been the best but I still have hope to move to the US by christmas!

My family lives in Caracas and it's a disaster back there, I'm happy I don't have to fly there for this visa thing... Good luck to you too! let's keep updated on our timelines!

Oh I see, I didn't try it that far is still to early for me to ask for it. I'm estimating my interview for late november.

Recently it was open for new request. Around one day but is closed again. Well, I asked for the criminal record already and I suppose to have my interview in October if I can get another one I will but if is impossible at least, I have this because  it is taking long time for get the appoval the criminal record and very hard to get them for the webpage. I suggest to you ask them now and later ask for another one. Success!!

I have one from late 2017 and I haven't been back in VZ since 2016 so that one should work (for what I've read). I'll try to do what you say just in case. Things change so fast we can't count on anything to be sure with venezuelan goverment. Best of lucks!

From what I read the police certificates from Venezuela are valid for 12 months.

It depends on the country. Some countries the criminal record is  valid only for 3 months like Chile, others 6 months like Ecuador... I don't know USA... If is one year is great. Regardless, get it as soon as possible.
