Hi. I'm an American woman dating a younger algerian man. We're 10 years apart & the age difference doesn't bother us. We want him to come here for our first face to face visit but we're kinda fumbling around when it comes to applying for a visitors Visa. What kind does he need to apply for & how do we go about it? He was told it can take up to 2 years get approval. That's insane. Any kind of advice or help would be welcome. Thank you

Op, his chances of a tourist visa are slim to none. Better plan to go visit him.

It doesn't take 2 years to be approved for tourist visa. If he wants to apply he does it on his own. Just tell him to visit US embassy website. 

 

But you mighy start want to planning a trip to see him.

  There is basically no chance he will get a visitors visa to come here.  You need to find some other place in the world to meet.  However if your intent is to file a petition for him it is best to meet his family also.
