I dont think so it it has nothing to do with religion.  The tolerant left.

Well, I made my feelings clear on arbitrarily refusing service in a recent thread, but apparently it is legal to do. The restaurant owner made the choice and will have to be prepared for the consequences to the business, I guess.

Seriously though, I wonder if she tried to use the bathroom before ordering, because if so,  then technically she wasn't really a customer yet.

can you imagine the reaction if someone had done this to someone in the Obama admin

They might have a top rated show canceled.  I suppose the restaurant owner has the right to refuse service, but as you said, just another example of the joke narrative the Left likes promote of actually being tolerant.

Morality aside, it's always interesting to watch the MDR flip flop on the exact same issue depending on who the players are.

its not even close to the same exact issue

Well that's a shame NB. Maybe the law should not allow discrimination for any reason? I would be OK with that.

How about a legitimate business treat every customer the same, and limit refusal of service to people who are dangerous or disruptive? Would that not work?

Actually, if you read my post you would see that I said it was ok for the esturant owner to do what he did just as I felt the baker had the right to do it.  It is just funny when it is the self-identified tolerant left that shows its true colors.

If there is no discrimination of any type, no one will ever make a choice.

I've brought this up a few times since Trump was elected, but I don't think the left ever claimed to tolerate jackasses.  Ultimately, if you support a business owners right to deny service for any reason, then you can't really get upset when they deny service for a stupid reason.

I have a hunch if this article had been about Colin Kaepernick getting denied service at Firehouse subs, the MDR would be saying he got what he deserved. The same holds true for Sarah Sanders then. If you support it, don't try to turn it around on the left. You got what you wanted. Be happy.

I think the whole thing went down perfectly. The owner refused to provide service and she had a fairly classy Twitter response.

The government didn’t get involved and the owner has to deal with (probably) the unwanted attention.

for the record, I would refuse service to some of the administration including trump.
