I heard of this and makes me wonder what the difference is.  His record is his record whether for local or abroad it should be the same no?

I thought you got that resolve by now. Trust me you don't want to be in AP it took Trina almost two months with alot of pressure to get out . I think he should've just told them it's for local use that would resolve the problem

No the background check for immigration purposes is different than for a local need.  That is why in the instructions, it says to make sure to state that the background check is needed for immigration.  I am not sure why they are mailing it.  Kingston used to do same day police checks, and now they no longer do that.

Well just in case it really does have to get sent directly to the embassy,  does anyone know how to address it to make sure it gets to his file and not lost somewhere.

When I did it in 2016 I had to state it was for the US embassy. It's a different form depending on embassy vs local. I did have to put the embassy address on it, I just googled the address in Liguanea and put it in. I did get it in my hand tho so I'm not sure if the system has changed. 2 years is a long time.

Cateogory: CR1

  • NOA1/Notice of receipt: Sept. 15, 2015

My fiance said it had to be addressed to somebody.  I am hoping he misunderstood about the mailing it to the embassy.
