Anyone get their police record from Kingston? They told my fiance that they could not give it to him. He had to have a letter from the embassy it had to be addressed to someone at the embassy and it had to be sealed. My friends fiance got his in Mobay handed to him and he could read it. Am I missing something?

Was it from Kingston? I thought the only thing that gets sent directly to the embassy was the medical.

Did you have to wait until you had a date for your interview?

We have our noa2 and are just trying to be proactive in collecting the documents for his interview

I really don’t know why they did it at that time and I did not question it. Maybe you should call and find out because I know of people getting theirs in hand as well. I don’t have a record either...weird. I do think you need the date first but things can change so call around please.

Going by memory I think you have a local process and a international one the international people have a different line and everything. I did it for work and they handed it to me maybe they told your spouse that because he mention the embassy . He should just pay the money at the tax office and do the local process

He did pay at the tax office. They gave him a receipt.  He paid for the expedited 7-14 days or something like that but they never told him he could come back and pick it up. They told him they must address it to someone and send it sealed to the embassy so he need to go back with some type of proof that he really needs the report. They said the receipt was good for 1 year. My friends fiance just picked his up in mobay it wasnt sealed and he carried it to his interview

No mine was in Clarendon the closest to me. I wasn’t in any hurry for mine why I didn’t go Kingston. Not sure about police record sent to embassy. I just went there pick it up and that’s it no questions really

Every website I read that posts instructions for obtaining a police record in Kingston JA says to pay then pick up on designated date.  Not one place did I read that they do not give out open police records or that they must be sent directly to the embassy.  Not sure why BF was told the record must be addressed to someone.  The last thing we want is for him to attend his interview and it be placed into AP because the embassy did not receive the police record.  I would feel a heck of a lot more comfortable if things went as they are supposed to go.

I heard of this and makes me wonder what the difference is.  His record is his record whether for local or abroad it should be the same no?
