HI everyone,

Asking for some insight because I'm freaking out and I'd like to hear if anyone's gone through this, please see pictures attached

First off,

1. My closed envelope has a very small tear on one of the sides, it's about one inch, an another little one right next to the cut it has on the top left part(this cut is supposed to be normal for some Mexican packages), I called the Consulate and I'm sending it back tomorrow so they can replace it.

2. They didn't check the box in which it indicates what kind of visa I'm getting.

3. The one that worries me the most. I guess it was the way the courier placed my passport, it got a very very minimal tear on the biometrics page. I'm freaking out about this because I don't know if this invalidates my passport. What if when I send my package back the Consulate they now tell me it is no longer valid? And even if this doesn't happen, what if I have problems at the POE because of this small tear ir if it'll make it hard to read my passport.

My fiancé tried to reassure it'll be fine,  but I really don't know what to do.

Please help!!

None of this looks like any kind of problem at all, unless the page in your last photo came from INSIDE the sealed envelope.  That tear, definitely does not invalidate your passport.

Thank you! I called the Consulate and they told me they do that big cut on purpose and that it shoudn't be a problem, it was the two other tears I'm worried about.

I read online that that small tear on my information page on my passport could only invalidate it if it interfieres with the passport chip, is that the hologram on top of my info?

NO.  It's an imbedded computer chip.  It's not down there on the edge.
