Good day everyone! My fiance and I apply for K1 Visa and now we are on the medical and interview stage. I, the beneficiary, just noticed that my father's middle name (one-letter typo) on my birth certificate has an error on it. Other than that, other data on my birth certificate are correct. Will my father's erroneous middle name reflected on my birth certificate affect the visa process? Please help. Thanks!

Your situation is fairly common, and as noted already it is not really an issue.    Have yet to hear of anyone having an issue regarding this and being issued a visa.

Your name being correct is the important information.

Hello everyone! I just had my interview yesterday July 12, 2018 and screening officer and the consul didn't have any issue with my father's one letter error middle name on my birth certificate. And I also passed the interview! Thank you for all your response! God bless us!
