Delete or inactivate USCIS web account after oath?

Well, I am done, got my oath ceremony done this week. YEAH!

A silly question:

Do I need to do anything with the USCIS account, that is, deactivate or delete it?

Or will it die by itself, as the specific process of obtaining citizenship is completed.

I also like my password there, and would like to reuse elsewhere!

I haven't found an option to deactivate or delete my account. In my case I needed it after oath because I filed for my husband. 

 

You can use that password elsewhere whenever you want...

Lol... You know you can use that password whenever you want right? You can have the same  password in 100 different websites or accounts.

 

The USCIS account is yours and you can do whatever with it

It literally has no impact on your status or immigration. Those accounts are only meant to let people track their cases pretty much..  

 

USCIS won't receive any kind of red alert because someone deleted/stoped logging to their personal account...

I never bothered closing mine out.

I still get messages from them monthly telling me my case is under review and they'll let me know of any updates to my status :/

The government knows WAY more than you do, so you should take it seriously and if they tell you to go to another oath ceremony you better go

Don't reuse passwords, makes it easy for hackers.

 

In fact to see if any of your passwords are already hacked in various data breaches, check your emails at https://haveibeenpwned.com/

 

And change any passwords, preferably to long random strings like sg20Gauotyea%2(ns;l( etc.

 

 What hackers do is they hack an easy lower security websites (remember the Target data breach, etc), and each account associated with an email, they can try that password and email combo at credit card websites, banks, etc, until they find an account they can drain money from, or use to extract personal information to apply for credit in your name.
