After k1 visa interview approval Administrative Processing

Yesterday I had my K1 visa interview at the London Embassy and at the interview they said we was approved which was amazing news.

So I thought I’d check the visa status check and it says Administrative Processing instead of approved is this normal? As the lady said I would get my visa in one to two weeks where as the Administrative Processing says it can take several weeks which is why I’m left a little confused.

Administrative processing is a catch-all category that can mean many things from simply printing out the visa, affixing it to your passport and shipping it to you, to additional reviews/approvals (i.e. supervisors) needed, to additional background checks.  Not much that can be done except to wait.  In the CO told you 1-2 weeks, it may stay in AP until you actually receive your passport back with the visa.

Good Luck!

It's normal.

I was you literally a week ago. My fiance's interview was June 12th, changed to AP the next day then on the 18th it changed to "issued" and he got his passport with visa inside on the 22nd.

That's awesome, congrats! It should come soon. Ours from the time we filed to when he will be getting here was roughly 9 months to the day. So happy to finally be ending this chapter and starting a new.

Yeah, my fiance's got a text message stating he should expect it within 1-2 days of receiving that message. It gave the tracking number as well you just track it through the DX website.

If you're talking about on CEAC it never changed from issued to dispatched.

He got his last Friday and it still shows issued.

Flight all booked for next week.

The original parcel contained this plus my passport with the visa page in it.

my police certificate was in it too.

honestly it all happened pretty quick, I had my medical 12th June I called every day and got a cancellation then had my interview 21st and a week later I’ve got my visa in hand. I wish the rest of the process would have been this quick.
