Normally they sent you a letter if they decided to use biometrics. I never trust the online statuses until I get the letter in mail.

No updates on either site; however, we are scheduled to get a letter in the mail today from USCIS. I have no idea what it could be.  Hopefully, good news.

I just opened my letter - it's the biometrics appointment, although I did get a letter a few months ago saying they will reuse my fingerprints.

So we just got a letter yesterday now asking for biometrics appointment - we were on biotmetrics reused but now it says to appear.

The letter says in order to reschedule we have to mail it back to them...its for july 5th and we will be out of state😡could have sent it sooner! it says to mail to BPU Alexandria ASC...which we're in oklahoma. so strange.

Hello, as far as I know you can try to do your bio in advance. Just bring ur bio schedule to the service center and ask them if they can squeeze u in because u will be out of town. My friend did it before and she got her bio in advance. Hope that helps :)

Ours was also for biometric appointment....  July 1st.

It is the norm now to get biometrics waived and then get a letter months later to get fingerprinted.

Some June 2018 filers have received letters to get fingerprinted.....at least it shows movement forward. :)

I also received a biometric appointment for July 3rd (even though I had mine waived before also). No update on the online tracking for this. Good to see some news anyway!

Getting the letter for biometrics appointment does not trigger an update on the case tracker. It only happens after they are taken “fingerprints reviewed completed”

I’ve seen lots of people getting letters for biometrics but I have not. I’m terrified that it got lost in the mail and I’m going on several trips in the upcoming weeks. What should I do?

I'm sure you can call to see if you were sent one.

Let me know how it goes, please.

I’m  also wondering what if you don’t follow any website like VJ, and you’re just doing your own stuff without an attorney or guide. And then you just received your letter saying that you’re being waived for biometrics and suddenly 3 months later you in fact have to re-do biometrics again but you never received said letter and your online tracking never got updated and eventually you didn’t attend the appointment. This system is really f-cked up.

I know!! The system is horrible and you can be denied because of it.. I called them, it took

me an hour to speak to a human being and he told me what I already know! That my biometrics has been re-used.. I asked if any letters has been sent out to me recently and he replied with "These applications takes long so no"! Tbh these agents don't know anything that we don't... I may schedule an infopass just to be on the safe side because it seems like everyone is getting appointment for biometrics appointment although they've received previous letter stating that their bio has been re-used.
