Hi all,

I know it's a week away from July, though due to some hold ups at my end, I won't be filing my I-751 ROC until the very beginning of July. My conditional Green Card expires at the beginning of August and I could have filed back in May. Well, had we not been away from home until mid June and dealing with all manner of other things (a fractured Achilles Tendon being one of them!) I would have been on the case quicker.

I've already completed the I-751 PDF, so other than being signed and dated, that's ready to go. What is taking a while is getting all the evidence together. I did manage to put certain things to one side since the date that we were married in view of the ROC, though there is still much I feel I need to find. Reading the USCIS guidelines it seemed pretty simple and it didn't appear that a huge amount of evidence is required. Then I read through this ROC section of the forum and saw some of the packages people had sent - how much stuff were they sending?!!! Got me all nervous when I started looking at how little I appeared to have. However, I have been gathering various items and already the "pack" is thickening up.

I will be glad to get the pack completed and sent so that everything is back in the system so to speak. Then it will be a waiting game again. Those memories of the K1 visa and Adjustment of Status come flooding back!

Good luck to all July 2018 filers. May your journey be smooth and timely, and that you'll very soon have your conditions removed. Let the July 2018 games begin!

Looks like I'm the only one currently preparing to file the I-751 in July 2018. Well, at least so far!

As mentioned, I have the main I-751 completed and ready to go. What is taking the time is getting all the supporting evidence together. Over the weekend I went through three years worth of digital photos to select the best that showed us to be a married couple - with family, friends, traveling, at home during Xmas and other holidays, dinner parties in ours (and others) homes etc. Trying to narrow the selection down but still covering the three year period from marriage to the present day. I also have all our Xmas cards and birthday cards from 2017 to now.

Here's what I have prepared so far, all of these show both our names and/ or the same home address:

1. Bank Statements from our joint accounts (covering the period since we were married)

2. Health Insurance EOB (showing my name on the policy)

3. Joint car insurance

4. Email from our financial adviser arranging to meet us in 2018

5. Statement from cruise company confirming the cruise we will be going on later this year (Sept 2018).

6. House purchase addendum to our contract (showing both our names)

7. Joint tax filing statement from our accountant

8. HOA invoice

9. Flight itinerary showing joint booking for our NYC trip in July 2017

10. 2 x wedding invites (that we attended)

11. 1 x wedding thank you note

12. Copy of Green Card

13. Copy of driving licence (both me and my partner)

14. Copies of our credit and debit cards

15. Copy of car titles (showing same address)

16. Copy of marriage certificate

17. 3 x affidavits from friends

These are not (yet) in order, it's just as I've gathered them together. Can anyone think of anything I might have missed, or might need to add?

Hi,

I'm a June filer as I mailed my packet out yesterday. My gc expires at beginning of Aug as well.

To be honest, I was nervous that my packet had less evidence than others who posted on the June forum. My packet fit comfortably in an 8" x 11" brown envelope and was less than an inch thick.

My list was similar to yours minus the wedding invites and trip confirmations. I do have all the utilities in my name, so I included the most recent ones. Our son was born in Jan so I put a copy of the birth cert in there too....a total of 56 pages of critical evidence.

I believe the key is not the quantity of evidence, it's more the quality of the evidence that's submitted. As you correctly stated above, "critical evidence" is the most important.

I'm including wedding invites and cards simply because I have them to hand, and I guess the more evidence supplied then the better. That does contradict what I just wrote above! Hopefully though, with a combination of quality evidence along with the more superficial items such as cards, photos, invites etc., that should in theory reduce the risk of RFE's and may possibly reduce the chances of being called in for interview. Time will tell!

Oh, yes, same applies with affidavits. We have three, and of those, two of the people have known my partner for decades, and of those two one of them met me the same day that I first met my partner! And the third became friends with us shortly after we married and moved to Bradenton and have been close friends ever since.

They were all more than happy to submit affidavits confirming our marriage and relationship being strong and committed. Easy enough to include them, so we might as well!

Hi, everybody, friends,

What is "Acknowledgement of Appointment at USCIS Application Support Center", do I need sign my name in the block? Thanks

This would be Part 7 of the i-751 which requires you to print name (write in uppercase) in black ink. You only sign in the section following that which reads Petitioner's Signature.

Yes.....as in SHENGLVCHEN (but put your real name obviously).

'Print name' means to put your name in all capital letters which is usually then followed by your signature. Whether you write it in or type it in, it must be in all capital letters.

I would almost be certain that you would leave it blank. I checked through the example form on VJ and it had lots of blank spaces (i.e. names and details of children if it doesn't apply in your case). If you fill in "NA" for middle name, then they will likely use "NA" as your middle name!

Also, I opened the downloaded I-751 PDF using Adobe Reader, and Adobe Reader auto-filled some of the sections after I input the data in earlier parts of the form. I don't know if other PDF readers would do the same.

Here's an example of how a completed form should look:

http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-751.pdf

However, I've just looked at the USCIS guideline for completing the form:

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-751instr.pdf

On page three, no.3, it states:

"3. Answer all questions fully and accurately. If a question does not apply to you (for example, if you have never been married and the question asks “Provide the name of your current spouse”), type or print “N/A,” unless otherwise directed. If your answer to a question which requires a numeric response is zero or none (for example, “How many children do you have” or “How many times have you departed the United States”), type or print “None,” unless otherwise directed."

Now I'm not sure what you should put. According to the above, you might have to state "N/A", even though it's technically not a question that they are asking. Perhaps someone else can shed further light on this?

Here's another guide that I found. It still doesn't really shed any light on your situation unfortunately.
