Yeah so to help people, our application arrived at NVC on May 5th 2018 we did the online CEAC process and we received case complete on the 3rd of July 2018 we are awaiting to be assigned our interview date now which I’ve heard from a friend who has a very similar timeline as me and is from the same country, her interview date was received in only 11 days so hope that helps people in the online stage with NVC and CEAC fingers crossed we get our interview date soon🤞🏻😁

That's great news. Just submitted payments the other week, I'm cautiously optimistic the CEAC online process will be a bit smoother than waiting on NOA2 and the NVC case number.

Some good news this morning. Our interview date has been set for 8/21/2018. To help with the timings;

5/7/2018 - Uploaded DS-260, AOS and Civil Documents

5/24/2018 - NVC rejected two documents (scanned in landscape not portrait) resubmitted same day

6/13/2018 - NVC requested more documents, documents uploaded and accepted on same day. Notified of being Documentary Qualified.

7/12/2018 - Notified that interview date set for 8/21/2018.

So about 2 weeks for NVC to get to the application after submitted, then about a month to get interview date after NVC completion.

Hope this helps.

Hey, my husband and I are a few months behind you in the process and also applying from Australia. Our petition was approved in June and sent to NVC on 16 July. I've called a couple of times, but NVC still hasn't received it. My question for you: did you call NVC throughout the process to find out your received date and get your case number and, if so, how frequently did you call? I'm trying to work out whether calling actually speeds anything up or if I should just put on my patient pants and wait for them to contact us. Thanks for your help!

Beneficiary Country: UK / Consulate: Sydney, Australia / Nebraska Service Center

27-Nov-2017 - Sent I-130 package to Chicago Lockbox

30-Nov-2017 (+3 days, 3 days) - NOA1, petition sent to Nebraska Service Center

23-Jul-2018 (+7 days, 238 days) - Petition received by NVC (confirmed via phone on 24 July)
21-Aug-2018 (+29 days, 267 days) - Welcome Letter received by email, paid AOS and IV fee

23-Aug-2018 (+2 days, 269 days) - IV Application (Form DS-260), Civil Documents, Affidavit of Support, and Financial Documents all submitted to NVC on CEAC

7-Sep-2018 (+15 days, 284 days) - NVC Case Complete

18-9-2018 (+11 days, 295 days) - Interview scheduled, received notification from NVC via email - interview set for 16 October

It takes about a week for NVC to receive your case from USCIS. Currently, it is taking 8-9 weeks to get your case number assigned.

Thanks! I am aware of the average timeline, but my question is about people's experiences with calling NVC and whether I should bother.

Yes, I recommend you calling them as frequently as you can. I have called them at least twice a week over the period of 2 months! I got my welcome email with case number today.

TBH I called a few times but it was not of much help. I also submitted questions via 'Ask NVC' but it was also not very useful. I would suggest just wait the current time lines and if it goes beyond that then perhaps call. You can view my specific timelines in this post - page 1 to help gauge - Good luck!

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi all,

I work as a consultant (employed here in Australia) but have the flexibility to work 100% remote. If I have this in writing from my employer plus my signed employee agreement and proof of income (payslips) would the embassy consider this as sufficient financial support? This is in addition to my wife working from the United States.

Thanks,

Michael.
