My husband submitted the fee waiver application with his N-400 application.  We are well below the 150% poverty level.  He just noticed there's a pending transaction on our credit card for the full amount of the application!  He sent the application about a week ago.  No mail from them yet.  Does this mean he was denied and they're just taking the money???

WHY WOULD YOU SEND A CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION FORM IF YOU WERE UNABLE TO PAY!? USCIS would assume that you CAN pay. if you read the instructions carefully it clearly says DON'T SEND any type of payment if you are applying for a fee waiver...

READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY NEXT TIME! The fee is non-refundable so you basically paid...

I successfully got a Fee waiver...i submitted my Tax Return for last year,A Headed letter from my Employers clearly showing how much i earn per Hour and how many hours i do on Average per Week...this was evidence of my FPL being below 150%.

In addition i printed out my Bank Statements for the last 6 months showing the end Balance for every month and was showing the Direct Debits for the Bills ie Water,Electricity,Gas and Car Insurance. In addition i sent my Credit Card Statement that shows what i pay every month and how much i owe!!!...Thats all i sent and i was approved with 2 weeks.Hope this helps someone.
