HK may be asking for the 221g letter from the embassy which you will not get until after the interview, at which time the embassy will email this 221g document request to you.  At that time you can print out copies to request the PC.

Not sure you can request the embassy to send this out to you before the interview.

I thought this was the letter that becomes available once you receive the NVC case number.? Isn't there a letter with the beneficiaries name stating that a PC is needed.

c) A photocopy of a letter from the relevant Consulate / Immigration Authority / Government Authority, which contains his or her name and clearly indicates that the production of the Certificate is required;

That would be the 221g document request.  Which normally is not issued until after the interview

Hmmm, interesting they would give this letter to you after the interview when you need the PC before the interview.

I saw a copy of a letter here saying you are now eligible to schedule the interview. In this letter it also states that a PC is needed. What exactly is this letter? Will it have the beneficiary name and case number??

Here it is:

Oh I agree with you totally.    It is sort of a Catch 22 situation... you need the PC for the interview, but the foreign country's requirement is a letter from the embassy requesting the PC .. and the embassy doesn't "know" you need the PC until the interview so they can't/don't issue the 221g until then.        ...  crazy for sure.    Like suggested .. MAYBE try contacting the embassy and asking for a request letter.    I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.

That is the old instructions letter, it has been replaced by an online checklist.   And there is a section in the checklist that states the same thing ..  but the 221g is the actual letter from the embassy requesting the police clearance.

Best I can suggest is try contacting USEM about getting the request letter now.

Contacting the Embassy
Manila Visa Information and Appointment Service center hotlines at (632) 976-8500, (632) 976-8501 or (632) 976-8502.
The center is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Manila time), except on Philippine and U.S. holidays.

Callers in the U.S should call (703) 520-2235 on its Eastern Standard Time equivalent of operation hours.

Skype: To use Skype to speak to a customer service representative Monday Friday from 8:00am to 8:00pm., please add a new contact to your Skype account with the Skype name ustraveldocs-philippines.

I received my case number today. Can my fiancee schedule her medical in Manila ?

SLEC requests a copy of your interview confirmation page from scheduling your interview.

Did you get your MNL# by calling or by mail?

Here is the process once your status on the CEAC website shows READY

You will want to keep checking your status on the CEAC website, link to there is in the K-1 link I gave you earlier.  When you see READY status you are good to then schedule your interview.

Embassy has been cracking down on those scheduling their interview too early and in some cases have made them reschedule their interview, so watch for READY  status on CEAC .. this can be 7-10 days from receiving your MNL # by phone.

Hi,

We just got approved. We received our NOA2 dated October 1st but my man got it from the mail October 13th. I have read a lot of stuff, got different links from different sources and watched youtube videos. I kinda have the idea but it’s a lot of information to digest. I don’t know where Affidavit of support will come in, that DS-160 form and a lot more stuff. I’m confused.

sorry if I sound stupid. It’s just overwhelming. What’s next exactly? Thank you I appreciate it.

Have your fiance email a copy of the NVC email to you, you will want that for the medical at SLEC.

Here is a link to the visa application process at USEM.

http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

Once your status shows READY on the CEAC website you can schedule your interview.

1) Pay visa fee at BPI

2) Schedule interview online

3) Medical at SLEC

4) Attend interview

5) Complete CFO-GCP seminar  (this can be done before or after the interview)
