Hello,

Today I received this update on my case one month after filing and I have three questions:

1- Will I get the date of my interview on the My Case website or only through the mail?

2- How long after this notice should I receive my interview date?

3- How long after receiving this notice could my interview date be?

You can check my timeline to help me answer these questions.

Thanks guys!

Your interview could be months away - it all is based on the office and how far out they are scheduling. Check USCIS to see the processing time at your office. For example, my case has been waiting to be scheduled since October. For your office, it states 11.5-26 months. The current out of processing date is May 2016. It could be another year and a half, it could be another nine months - no one can tell.

The "Ready to be Scheduled" notification unfortunately doesn't mean you'll be scheduled soon. It just means you're now in the line with all the other applications that are also ready to be scheduled. It could be months.

When it updates to "Your interview HAS been scheduled", then you'll get the notice in the mail shortly after that with the actual date.

My AP status has not changed since they received it as well.

Maybe you'll have an interview scheduled soon so you might not need an AP..

It really depends on your office. I got the update that my interview was scheduled 10 days after that notice. I heard that was rare and we were lucky. I live in San Antonio. I have a friend who had been waiting since May 2017 and just got the notice that their interview was scheduled 2 days ago. They're applying from Brooklyn. Where are you applying from?

Current processing time for adjustment in LA is 15-33 months according to USCIS. You may be in for a long wait. As for how long you get your date after the notice, once your case status is updated as "Interview has been scheduled" you should receive the date in the mail in no less than 2 weeks. They don't give the date online, only in the Notice of Action letter. Interviews are usually scheduled for about a month after receiving the letter.
