Hello this is my first time on a forum so excuse my amateurism, but here is my case

My fiance arrived may 3rd on her k1 visa. We went to the SS Office to apply for a social security number on may 11th. They gave us a paper stating it would take no more than 4 weeks to for them to verify her i94 and other docs. On the 5th week, they told us to continue to wait and that it is in the hands of the DHS. We are now approaching week 8, no card, and her case isn't in DHS SAVE case status database. My county states that she has to have an SSN to get married, and as you all know we have a limited time to get married due to her being on a K1 visa. Does anyone have any advice?

I suggest going to a different SS office.

Go to a different office and reapply? Would that conflict with the current application?

I dont want to complicate things further
