Hey guys,

I have been trying to sort out my vaccination for the vericella jab, my question is............

I will be getting on my wife's Medical insurance in about a month's time, can i send my AOS stuff in without having the vaccinations done??

Then it would cost me alot less once i am on the insurance. Also for the vericella shot you have to 2 shots a month after what happens with that do you have to wait to send your AOS stuff in to wait for that second shot???

Your help would be much appreciated.

Call your local health department. Depending on your age you may not need the second Varicella shot.

I would also suggest that you find a civil surgeon and get the I 69A vax suppliment before you file. Although it is not a requirement you may save yourself some problems down the road.

Have you checked to see how much you will save on the shot if you wait for the insurance to kick in? I am sure it is much less of a savings than getting the EAD a week earlier and starting a job.

09 October 4th application package sent. This time they said the app signature page was a copy

10 Oct Sent package again 4th time.

25 Oct Received another NOA for Wife with $625 for the amount with one year extension

30 Oct 2008 Still nothing for step daughter. Checks still haven't cleared the bank

24 November Checks finally cleared the bank

February biometrics for wife Nothing for daughter.

Do i need to send a vaccination supplement off with my AOS stuff or is that required for the interview

I am looking to send off my AOS stuff asap, i have a price of the shots but i require 2 shots of the vericella, one now and one in a month's time.

I need to know is it required to send in the vaccination supplement with all the required vaccinations completed!!

You *can* send in your AOS application without the vaccination supplement. However, you may receive an RFE for it, which will hold up your entire AOS /EAD/AP application. If you can't afford to pay for the injection, and need to send your AOS application before you have insurance sorted, then you *may* be okay. Some people have received RFEs for the supplement, others haven't and have been all right with just taking it to the interview.

Sorry, I don't know anything about how many injections you need for varicella.

Edited to add: regarding your last question, yes, you need to have all of your vaccinations completed before a civil surgeon will fill out the supplement (unless you qualify for a waiver or are age exempt etc).

I personally would include the records with your AOS. It's too easy to get an RFE, or even worse, a denial for not submitting the information along with it! No need to up the ante that something might go wrong, right?

If you have to wait until next month to submit it, I'd probably do that.
